Weekly Round-Up
January 19-26
Last week when I created my Substack bio I said I wasn’t a writer, and after some time contemplating that, I decided to take it off my bio line, because here I am being a writer. I’m not a writer in the professional sense, but I am writer in the sense that I love sharing my life with others through words and photos.
I’m still trying to decide what this space will be used for, and I have a few ideas. I’d love to hear your thoughts! I do envision this being more of a general space, so not necessarily focusing on one thing, in particular.
Outfit features because I like putting together outfits and dopamine dressing
Midwest outdoors and nature content

Book reviews
Ok, onto my week in review!
What I read this week:
There There by Tommy Orange — this book is absolutely beautiful but also absolutely devastating.
Still in the process of reading:
What I ate this week:
This week was all about convenience and comfort
The soyrizo from Trader Joe’s made it into nearly every breakfast bowl I made last week.
10c from A Dong at a dinner out with friends
Chicken pot pie from Costco was our comfort meal on Inauguration day — I needed all the comfort I could get
What I did this week:
This week was a lot of work-focused activity
Hosted a trip release party for Wander Women. All of our trips go on sale tonight and I’m super excited but also super nervous!
Hosted a weekend long reading retreat for Wander Women. More details on this event to come in a separate post, but in the meantime please enjoy the photo of the participants being super cute!
I took down Christmas and rearranged our dining room and living room a bit. I moved our record player into the living room and I’ve been listening to a lot of records this week. Here’s what I’ve been spinning pretty much non-stop:
St. Cloud Waxahatchee
Born to Die Lana Del Rey
Midnights Taylor Swift
Trail of Flowers Sierra Ferrell
What I’m planning to do this week:
A couple long walks
Prepping and packing for our Wander Women winter adventure to Duluth
Gentle vinyasa yoga at Rooted
Making soup
Maybe treating myself to a pedicure and manicure
Sunbathing on the couch with my cats
